The Magnificent Three

Cornish company Miracle Theatre will be performing their rootin’ tootin’ new show The Magnificent Three in the glorious outdoor setting of Rougemont Gardens. One for all the family, there's be plenty of fun extras, including workshops and a Friday night live music hoedown under the stars. The Tommy Cooper Show
Friday, Barnfield Theatre, Exeter
The Tommy Cooper Show features West End star Daniel Taylor as Tommy Cooper, in the knockout performance of the year. The show comes with a fabulous supporting cast, and all of your favourite jokes. Gareth Jones (formerly Gaz Top) stars as Miff Ferrie, along with Sharon Byatt as Gwen Cooper. Between the story, the gags and the magic, and Daniel’s incredible portrayal of showbusiness legend Tommy Cooper, this promises to be a very special show. Wonder Fields Festival

The inaugural festival is taking place at Great Fulford, Dunsford near Exeter, but this is no Glastonbury Festival! The Dolly Parton Story Live in Concert

Active Exeter Summer Festival

Guaranteed fun at Exeter Quay and the Piazza for the third annual Active Exeter Summer Festival. This year the event becomes a Festival of Rugby Celebration, so people will not only have a huge range of taster sports and activities on offer, but they will also be able to soak up the pre-Rugby World Cup tournament atmosphere as excitement builds towards Exeter’s important role as a host city. Events are in no way restricted to just rugby. There are many diverse activities on offer, most of which are free or with a nominal charge. The fun starts at 11 am and runs all day until 4pm.

Particulart: Up in the Air
Glorious Art House, Fore Street, Exeter
An innovative art installation which brings alive the greenhouse gases that are causing climate change. Local artist Clare Bryden has been knitting larger than life versions of the particles and making card games. The exhibition, which is on display until 24 July, is designed to be a playful way of sparking people's interest in the science and issue of climate change. http://particulart.org.uk/

Antonio Marguet: The Compelling Allure of Golden Yellow

Growing up between Syria and Spain, Antonio Marguet attributes a childhood fascination with sculpting plastic objects to the influence of his father's bubble-gum factory. Marguet is fascinated by the use of props and surrogates. Images become objects, the real is concealed and the photograph becomes a mythological or fetishistic object. This exhibition brings together works from recent bodies of work Toenail Constellations and Deodorant Games as well as the first viewing of new work from his latest series Skin of Shark's Teeth.
