A well-known Exeter musician is set to conduct again at the end of September for a special charity concert in the city centre in aid of Unicef, the United Nations Children's Fund. Raymond Calcraft, who was Director of Exeter Philharmonic Choir for fifteen years from 1988 to 2003, led the Choir in more than 80 concerts in the Cathedral, and took them to Spain in 1998 to sing in Madrid's famous Auditorio Nacional and the Cathedral of Salamanca. A well-known Exeter musician is set to take up his baton again after a fifteen-year break in conducting for a special charity concert in aid of Unicef, the United Nations Children's Fund.

The organ installed to celebrate Buckfast Abbey’s millennium will be the centrepiece of a special evening concert by Exeter Philharmonic Choir on Saturday May 19th, the night of the Royal Wedding.

On Friday 8th December 2017, La La Choirs held their third annual ‘CLIC for Christmas’ concert at Exeter Cathedral. Performing to another sold-out audience, they started the festive season off with a bang with a selection of Christmas favourites, old and new.

Saturday 27th January saw the performance of a new work, SHOAH, by composer Philip Arkwright, Master of Music at Buckfast Abbey at Exeter’s Mint Methodist Church as part of the commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on that date in 1945.
