Rokk Media win national award
The 2014 UK Mobile & App Design Awards were recently held at BOXPARK Shoreditch on Wednesday 18 June, as part of London Technology Week 2014.
The UK App Design Awards were created to honour the hard work of designers from across all sectors and industries and featured an impressive 160 entrants for 30 award categories. This is the inaugural year for this Awards evening, which has been well-received by the industry for recognising the increasingly important relationship and exchange of ideas between clients and their designers.
Amongst stiff competition the Exeter-based Digital Agency, Rokk Media, won the Home & Garden Category Award, for their recent work on the iProperty Log mobile app, with Chief Marketing Officer Ian Creek on hand to collect the trophy. Conceived to provide landlords and property professionals with a simple and easy-to-use solution handling all of their property maintenance and contact requirements, the iProperty Log is one of the first - if not the first - multi-platform, multi-device property maintenance and information apps available in the world. Full details of their winning app can be seen on the UK App Design Awards website here: http://appdesignawards.co.uk/UKAPPS14/entry_details.asp?ID=13040&Categor...
The Rokk Media team were keen to congratulate all the entrants on such an incredibly high quality of entries, and also thank the judging team for recognising their teamwork and effort. In particular Rokk Media would like to highlight the commitment of Hannah Ackford, Ian Creek, Tristan Stone, Martin Dainton and the UX/UI Design team at Rokk Media. Rokk Media’s Creative Director, Martin Dainton, commenting on the win, said: “We are ecstatic to have won this UK App Design Award, and it is a ringing testament to the professionalism, dedication and talent of the Rokk Media team. With our London office opened recently it seems somehow fitting that London Technology Week was the venue for our first National Award.”
Noted for their incredible growth in recent years, this honour goes alongside the Small Business of the Year 2014 award http://www.rokkmedia.co.uk/latest-news/rokk-media-wins-small-business-ye... they won at the Express & Echo awards evening just a few short months ago, where they were also finalists in the Business of the Year category and CEO Adam Stone was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year. As part of our their aggressive expansion plans they will be taking on an additional 3,000 sq feet of office space above their existing premises in the near future, alongside a 100% increase of 30 more qualified staff over the next two years.
