Family law specialists are finalists in national awards

The Family Law Company has been shortlisted in the Modern Law Awards 2016.

The specialist family law company with offices in Plymouth and Exeter has been shortlisted for the Private Client Team of the Year.

The company entered Director Jane Chanot’s team, which handles not only private clients but also domestic violence, HBV and child abduction cases.

The awards focus on the achievements of those working to change the face of business strategy and development, regulation management and client care throughout the organisation.

Jane said: “Everyone in the team has developed high levels of expertise and the ability to deliver a first rate service. Family Law is a niche area and we are fortunate that this enables us to concentrate on new initiatives and ways to ensure clients receive the best care possible.

“The work we do is, quite rightly, rarely in the limelight, so to be recognised as a leader in our field is a wonderful accolade.”

The category required the team to demonstrate effective team working and the engagement of people of varying experience working together to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Jane added: “We were thrilled to win Team of the Year at the DASLS Awards earlier in the year and we will be delighted if we win this too – although just being shortlisted is an honour in itself. It is a real testament to the hard work of the whole team, in what can often be a difficult and emotive area of law.”

All finalists will find out whether they have been successful on November 10 at the prestigious Hurlingham Club in London.

The Family Law Company has also been shortlisted in the national Family Law Awards which are also held in November.
