New recruit at Gilbert Stephens

Gilbert Stephens, a multi-role legal firm with six offices in Devon and over 100 employees, has recruited an experienced solicitor to join its Private Client team.

Based at one of the firm’s Exeter offices in Southernhay East, Rosy Holyer has a wealth of experience, with a reputation for providing trusted and expert advice in all matters from wealth management and preservation to wills, trusts, and probate.

Having moved from a role at a long-established firm of solicitors with offices in Salisbury and Andover, Rosy is enjoying her new role with the friendly local law firm and exploring her new surroundings.

Rosy says: “I love working and living in Exeter – it is a buzzing, thriving city and Gilbert Stephens have made me feel very welcome. I am busy discovering all that Exeter has to offer and love the fact that I work within walking distance of my home. Southernhay is also a beautiful part of the city, close to the centre but with green and leafy views.”

Having grown up in Cornwall, Rosy studied law at Bristol and then went on to take a legal practice course there, before being awarded a training contract in Northampton. This provided her with an exceptional foundation in dealing with a range of clients, including some high-net-worth and titled individuals, and she pays respect to her supervising Partners, who passed on the importance of paying close attention to detail.

Rosy is looking forward to getting to know her current clients further and meeting new ones in due course. She says: “I find client contact extremely rewarding and am especially keen to develop long-standing relationships with all my clients. With my area of law I am fortunate to be able to work with our older clientele and make sure that they are looked after in later life, as well as being able to care for their loved ones.”

Rosy concludes: “For me, personal service is key, which is why I like to work that little bit harder to get to know clients, as I have found it makes all the difference to the end result.”
