Teenagers robbed and assaulted in Exeter

Police in Exeter are investigating an assault and robbery that took place in the St Thomas area of the city on Monday night, 9th May 2016.

At around 7pm two men, aged 17 and 18, were approached by three strangers in Merrivale Park.

The three suspects, all described as wearing black or grey hoodies which were up and face masks or balaclavas, attacked the two men.

The 17 year-old suffered a slight facial injury while the 18 year-old was repeatedly hit over the head.

He was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene and  taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.  He suffered bad bruising but his injuries are not serious. His Nike backpack was also stolen during the attack but was found a short time later.
