Vospers open phase 1 of their new £15m investment super site in Exeter
Vospers is delighted to be welcoming sales and service customers to its new state of the art facility at Matford, following a 12-month build programme.
The opening signifies the consolidation of their 3 existing sites to create one destination, with five brand showrooms, including commercial vehicle facilities, a dedicated Used car centre and Premium car showroom.
The Vospers Group, one of the top 100 motor dealers in the UK, is a family-run company established in 1946. Managing Director Nick Vosper took over from his father Peter in 2011, who is now Chairman. With a turnover approaching £250 million, the group has 11 sites throughout Devon and Cornwall and over 700 staff. The company is recognised as a leading employer in the South West and has won numerous awards for its outstanding commitment to customer care in the automotive retail sector.
The new Matford facility, an investment of £15m was supported by a funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Bank, is set to further enhance the company's reputation as a leader and innovator in the automotive industry. The new site will also have benefits for the local community, with 200 staff employed and new opportunities available for skilled technicians and engineers.

A new impressive two-story FordStore evokes Vospers ethos of exciting design, combined with the practical layout as well as the latest equipment, to deliver customer service and support for all their customer needs, with access to a comprehensive range of brand vehicles. There are also new developments for Mazda, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Fiat, on the same site in equally impressive facilities.
One of a limited number of FordStores, the new showroom will allow customers to configure their new vehicle, at near life-size on a nine-screen HD Power Wall. The life-size configurator features a 3D experience, where customers can personalise their vehicle, view the car outside and inside and from all angles.
One of the key features of Vospers new site is the workshop and after sales service centre and the new style ‘Express Servicing' offered to customers. This best in class express servicing is more efficient, ensuring an hour turn around, as two fully trained technicians carry out the service and/or MOT in a specialist bay delivering a service in under an hour. It means customers can relax in comfortable surroundings, with WI-FI and refreshments, while their car is being serviced.
The ultra-modern used car centre, with all makes of vehicles available, is set to further enhance the customer experience, providing greater choice, with over 250 of the highest quality pre-owned cars and vans on display, representing a large range of Britain's most popular brands.
The Vospers supersite is now open 08.30-18.00 Monday to Saturday and 10.00-16.00 on Sundays.
