Family Law finalists

Excitement is mounting at The Family Law Company in the run up to the DASLS Awards in March.

The specialist family law company has been shortlisted in two categories: Team of the Year and Leader/Law Manager of the Year. The Family Law Company Director Jane Chanot, whose team at the company’s Exeter and Plymouth offices is in the running for an award, said:

“We’re proud to have reached the finals in the very first DASLS Awards event.

“Whether or not we win, I’m extremely proud of my team, who work tirelessly in what can be very challenging areas of family law, including domestic violence and child abduction. The work is often emotionally draining and all the members of the team are very supportive of each other.”

In the running for Leader/Law Manager of the Year is Director, Rachel Buckley. Rachel has been with The Family Law Company since 2006 and became a Partner in 2009. She specialises in divorce and finance and heads up a team of 16 solicitors, lawyers and support staff. Part of Rachel’s personal goal is to encourage others in family law to put children at the centre of their work.

“It’s a fantastic personal achievement to be amongst the finalists. It’s been a really busy year so far and I’m looking forward to catching up with my friends in the legal community at the awards event,” Rachel said.

The finalists will find out whether they have been successful at Sandy Park on March 3.
