Local seafood company goes green to improve land and marine environments

The Blue Sea Food Company, a Paignton based sustainable crab fishing company, are on a mission to go green and, thanks to an installation by renewable energy company Beco Energy, have considerably reduced their carbon emissions.

The new system has increased total power generation from 75.64kW to a fantastic 269.61kW, saving 117 metric tons of carbon emissions every year, meaning less impact on both land and marine environments in the local area.

The Blue Sea Food Company received the maximum amount of funding of £10,000, thanks to Beco’s accreditation by the Carbon Trust, as the project provided the opportunity to improve the local environment.
