Winter is coming! Make sure your workplace is prepared with a FREE winter safety box

With darker evenings and colder weather, winter is well and truly here.

To help workplaces in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Barnstaple be prepared for the winter weather, Travel Devon is offering a FREE winter walking and cycling kit worth £100 to businesses that apply between now and Thursday 28 February 2019.

There are only 10 kits available, which can be claimed by:

• Signing up to the Travel Devon toolkit at www.traveldevontoolkit.info
• Signing up to the Travel Devon Business Newsletter via the link on the toolkit and
• Emailing traveltowork@devon.gov.uk to pledge to host a Travel Devon event between now and February 2019.

The winter walking and cycling kit includes high visibility jackets, puncture repair kits, emergency bike lights, umbrellas and area information to keep for emergencies or give to employees.

Encouraging employees to walk or cycle to work can help to boost morale, improve mental and physical health, and get staff motivated for the day ahead.

Travel Devon can provide help to complete a site audit, send travel to work surveys, understand employee travel habits, provide Travel Devon events in the workplace, and provide employees with free personal travel planning, cycle confidence sessions and bus or rail taster tickets. All support is free.
