Using social media to drive Christmas sales will be the focus of the Teignmouth and Dawlish social media café on Tuesday 25 November.
The café will be held upstairs at The Riviera Café Bar in Teignmouth from 5-7.30pm.
On hand will be Mandy Pearse from Seashell Communications looking at how businesses can create festive related content and the team from Devon Hour will explain how their Twitter phenomenon can get the message out to thousands of Devon folk.
Curtis Goss from Pano 360 will explain why every trader needs to claim their Google Business listing, how to do it and why its important to use it. Also on hand will be Rob Simmonds from Well Chuffed Communications to help with hints and tips on building a Twitter following.
Social media café founder, Mandy Pearse, says: “The run up to Christmas is a critical sales period for our local businesses so its great to be able to give them this support to use their social media to its full potential.”
The social media cafe provides a free drop-in event where people can pick up tips and hints on using social media, ask questions, meet other like-minded people over a cup of coffee or a beer. The event is open to any business or community organisation in Teignbridge.
The Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe is held monthly alternating between the towns. A facebook page called Teignmouth & Dawlish Social Media Cafe can be found at www.facebook.com/TandDSMcafe and keeps people up to date with events and provides a forum for questions.
