A team of executives from Exeter Family Friendly, an award winning, mutual healthcare and protection insurer, are embarking on a 72 mile cycle challenge to raise money for Devon-based charity, Rainbow Living.

On June 11, 2015, Exeter Family’s Andy Chapman (CEO), Simon Philp, Paul Austin, Alan Ord and Adrian Hodgkinson will cycle from Wellington to Salcombe, aiming to raise at least £2,000 for the organisation's Charity of the Year.

Rainbow Living provide housing for adults with learning disabilities so they can live with their peers in supported accommodation. The funds raised from the cycle ride will go towards the charity’s third house where another group of young adults can transition from their family home to the community.

“We are very grateful to Exeter Family Friendly,” said Ruth Airdrie from Rainbow Living. “We can only do what we do through great fundraising events like this and the generosity of people who sponsor them.”

Commenting on the challenge, Director of Distribution and Marketing, Simon Philp, said: “We have a real mixture of cycling experience and for some who have never really tackled any distance, it's going to be tough.”

He continued: “We want to raise as much money as possible for Rainbow Living's third house so any donations will certainly spur us on.”
