FORCE and Exeter Family Friendly celebrate successful year
Staff members from FORCE Cancer Charity and Exeter Family Friendly came together on Tuesday to toast a hugely successful 12 months, during which Exeter Family has raised £5,500 for their chosen charity of the year.
Exeter Family, who recently won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Exeter Business Awards, raised the majority of the money through staff taking part in daring and dedicated activities, including the Rock Solid Race; a gruelling 5 and 10km obstacle race, a sponsored walk, 100 mile bike ride and supermarket collections.
Andy Chapman, Chief Executive of Exeter Family, said: "Our employees have gone above and beyond to raise as much money as possible for FORCE. We chose FORCE as our charity of the year because of the fantastic work they do for cancer patients and their families, a cause close to our hearts. I speak on behalf of all of our staff when I say we have been proud to be able to support them.”
Sarah Daniels, FORCE Fundraising Manager said ‘We are so fortunate to have been Exeter Family’s chosen charity of the year. Not only have they raised £5,500 for FORCE over the last year – they have done it with such enthusiasm and office wide support. All the staff seemed to get involved in the different events and they have been a pleasure to work with - thank you to all of them’.
