Kitsons raises £1,000 for Community Foundation
Leading Devon law firm Kitsons raised a fantastic £1,000 for Devon Community Foundation, thanks to their recent Christmas Quiz. The evening, which took place at the Grand Hotel in Torquay, saw 115 professionals from businesses across Torbay, Teignbridge and Exeter come together to take part in a gruelling eight-round quiz followed by a raffle. Businesses included Lloyds TSB, Bishop Fleming, Thomas Westcott, Pavey Group and Francis Clark.
The winner of the quiz was Newton Abbot based accountants, Darnell’s with the mixed team from Chamberlains and Pearl Investigations coming in last and being presented with the obligatory wooden spoon! The evening was made so successful due to the generous raffle prizes from businesses including Exeter City Football Club, Paignton Zoo and the Best Western Passage House Hotel.
Kitsons Managing Partner, James Cross said, “This was a thoroughly enjoyable evening that saw some healthy competition from the local businesses who took part. Kitsons have supported Devon Community Foundation for many years as they offer so much to our local communities. This was a fun way to raise a substantial amount for them. So much so, we have decided to run an even bigger event next year!”
Kitsons are part of Devon Community Foundation’s Devon 100 Club – a club set up for companies wanting a simple, cost-effective and rewarding way to support their local communities as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
Martha Wilkinson from Devon Community Foundation said, “Our Devon 100 Club allows local businesses to make a real difference in the Devon communities in which we live and the money raised through this fantastic event will go towards some of the greatest causes in Devon. We cannot thank Kitsons enough for their continued support of Devon Community Foundation – their fundraising is invaluable to us!”
