Rev your engines for a fun weekend
Living Options Devon is delighted to announce that we have been chosen as one of the local charities to be supported by the Historic Vehicle Gathering, which will be taking place at Powderham Castle this weekend. We are excited to have the opportunity to showcase our varied projects and initiatives that support people with disabilities and Deaf people (BSL users) across the south west.
Teresa Pollard Fundraising Officer at Living Options Devon said “We look forward to welcoming show goers to our stand, where we’ll be hosting some fun fundraising activities for children and adults alike, as well as giving the opportunity to learn more about the projects and services we support”.
The Living Options stand will be showcasing our award-winning Heritage Ability project, which works with heritage locations across the south-west to improve accessibility. Heritage Ability aims to ensure that Deaf people (BSL users) and people with disabilities have a fully educational and enjoyable experience at our best cultural and historical sites. Linked to this is our Countryside Mobility Scheme, which provides all-terrain mobility scooters to a number of countryside locations across the south west to improve accessibility and increase enjoyment of the outdoors for people with limited mobility. Both of these projects have demonstrably improved the wellbeing and confidence of their users in ensuring that they can enjoy days out with their loved ones.
We will also be giving attendees of the Historic Vehicle Gathering the chance to win a brand new vehicle. Marsh Kia Exeter have generously donated a Kia Stonic car, which is the top prize in our current raffle. Tickets are only £2 each, the winner will be drawn on 20th December 2019, with all proceeds benefiting the Living Options Devon charity. Buy them at our stall or online at www.winakia.zaffo.com to be in with a chance to win! We are also selling raffle tickets at Princesshay shopping centre every Thursday to Saturday, for those people who don’t have the chance to stop by. Alongside the raffle, there will also be other fun activities on our stall at the Historic Vehicle Gathering to help fundraise for our charity and entertain families. We look forward to seeing you there.
