TUI inspires Exeter Beaver Scout Group at Airport Visit

Fourteen Beaver Scouts from 1st Cranbrook Beavers visited Exeter Airport for a behind the scenes look at some of the airport's most exciting operations and day-to-day activities.

Hosted by TUI, the visit took the Scout’s learning to new heights as they worked towards earning their Air Activities Stage 1 Badge.

TUI Crew Relations Manager Nicola Bendall hosted the Beaver Scout’s trip alongside Exeter Airport where the group was introduced to the basics of aviation through learning and activities.

Exeter College extends opportunity to staff to find out more about experience of VI students

Staff at Exeter College put themselves in the shoes of blind and partially sighted learners and visitors to the campus as part of two sight loss awareness sessions held during annual staff training week.

RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) visited the college on Monday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 10 to deliver the one-hour sessions.

Around 45 people -the entire learning assistance team, who provide specialist help to students requiring additional support with their studies- attended the first session.

Cranbrook Education Campus, (CEC) part of theTrust, has been rated "Good" by Ofsted following an inspection in May. The all-through school received "Good" ratings in all areas evaluated by the school watchdog, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

OBE for CEO of the Ted Wragg Trust

Moira Marder, CEO of the Ted Wragg Trust, a family of 16 schools across Devon with over 13,000 students, has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours list for her outstanding services to education.
