One of Exeter’s most anticipated annual events, Big Screen In The Park celebrates its fifteenth year this August.

Taking place in Northernhay Gardens from 12-16 August, this year’s expanded anniversary event will treat locals and holidaymakers to cult classics, family favourites and new releases over five summer evenings. A unique opportunity to experience the magic of the movies in the increasingly rare 35mm format on a big 10m screen, with the illuminated Cathedral city as a stunning backdrop.

Guaranteeing something for everyone, the recently announced line-up includes 80’s Bill Murray classic Ghostbusters as well as a dose of cult horror from Jack Nicholson in The Shining. Recent blockbuster space epic Interstellarpromises to be a spectacular addition to the programme, viewed beneath a looming night sky. Also on the list is one for all the family, a special screening of Toy Story, celebrating 20 years of infinity and beyond! Finally, cinemagoers can delveinto the delights of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s quirky French cinema with a screening of the beautiful Amelie.

There will be an excellent selection of food and drink including wares from festival foodies Pieminister, the Bandidas Mexican Canteen, Pink Cloud Candyfloss and the original and best Bikecaffe. In addition Exeter Phoenix CaféBar will be running a special bar with a tempting new range of craft beers as well as a selection of ales, spirits and soft drinks.
