Luke can't wait to get to Exeter
Devon's X Factor hero will return home with mentor Louis Walsh today. They'll be touring the area Luke calls home building up to his hugely anticipated homecoming gig at The Great Hall in Exeter.
17 year old Luke from Teignmouth will perform to a crowd of his most adoring fans tomorrow night, some of whom were waiting outside the Guildhall Shopping Centre from as early as 4am today in the hope they could get their hands on some tickets.
We caught up with Luke briefly this afternoon to find out how he's been getting on.
TED: So you've made it to the final Luke - how does it feel?
LUKE: It feels absolutely amazing and I can't wait to get down to Exeter tomorrow man.
TED: This weekend was your third in the bottom two. Where you concerned on Sunday night?
LUKE: Because it was the third time I was more nervous than ever, especially going up against Rough Copy. It's the semi-final so you're that close to the final. It's the hardest week to go.
TED: Definitely. Were you sad to see Rough Copy go?
LUKE: Yeah I was very sad. A lot of people said to me afterwards that I didn't seem very happy but I was, I was majorly happy, it's just obviously very hard to kick out your friends.
TED: But you're excited to come home tomorrow...
LUKE: Yeah! I am so excited. I am literally buzzing to do the gig.
TED: So what can we expect from tomorrow night?
LUKE: A lot of...
TED: Hair?
LUKE: Yeah a lot of hair and a lot of excitement.
We cannot wait for Luke's homcoming gig tomorrow night and TED will be fixed to the red carpet to get your messages for Luke and to catch up with Devon's X Factor prodigy and his mentor.
TED is running a 'GO LUKE' campaign in the run-up to Saturday's final through Facebook and Twitter so make sure you like and follow us to find out how you can show your support ahead of Luke's big night at Wembley Arena.
GO LUKE!
