Powderham Castle hosts charity Michaelmas Fair
Annual Michaelmas Fair on Thursday 3 November aims to raise more than £5000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity
Powderham Castle, near Kenton, is the magnificent setting for the annual Michaelmas Fair in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army’s National Charity.
The elegant stately home will be filled with a selection of quality stallholders from Devon and the South West selling a wide variety of food, gifts and stocking fillers.
Organiser Helen Vincent said: “This is the perfect way to indulge in some guilt-free early Christmas shopping for a wonderful cause. If you would like to take a break from your shopping, the Orangery Restaurant and the Courtyard Tea Room will be there to give you an energy boost! Doors open at 10am and close at 3pm”.
Adding a touch of Antiques Roadshow will be specialists Lucy Marles and Martin McIlroy from Bearnes, Hampton & Littlewood, giving free verbal valuations on jewellery, watches, militaria and silver.
All proceeds from the Fair will support The Soldiers’ Charity, which exists to help soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need.
Tickets cost £3 in advance from Exeter Visitor Information and Tickets 01392 665885 or ABF The Soldiers’ Charity on 01392 496412, or £5 on the day. Parking is free.
