All aboard at Pecorama’s new Play Station
The official launch of Pecorama’s new all weather, under cover play area, ‘The Play Station’ took place on Friday 25 October. The opening ceremony was performed by Farhan Bhuiyan the youngest pupil currently at Beer Primary School and Tyrone Bird, the eldest pupil at the school.
As part of Pecorama’s development plans to offer an all round visitor experience particularly for families, the new Play Station will provide younger visitors from toddlers up to 12 years of age, with an exciting under cover play area – whatever the ‘variable’ English weather.
The Play Station will also offer local children and their parents the perfect new venue for just ‘letting off steam’ or enjoying a lively Birthday treat.
This unique train themed children’s indoor play area was specially created for Pecorama.
A main feature is (of course) a train with lookout panels that will provide a great photo opportunity for parents.
There are a myriad of features within the area including a 3 metre high racing slide, a twin lane Astra slide, a spiral slide, cargo climbs, a spinning floor, spiders web climb throughs, giant balls, clear decks, log ramps and much, much more..
All these features will make it an exciting experience for children and parents.
“We are very concerned to ensure that Pecorama offers the best in a visitor attraction”, comments Peco’s MD Michael Pritchard. "Having listened to our visitors, many of whom are local, we knew that we had to provide an indoor play centre to improve on our already popular children’s Area .We wanted to follow through the theme of the railway and trains as the Beer Heights Light Railway is one of our most popular features so the idea of The Play Station was a logical addition and an ideal name!”
Work on the extensive Play Station development has continued through the summer and all the new facilities have been thoroughly tested by local children prior to the formal opening.
“Whilst it would have been nice to have opened The Play Station during the season, we felt it was more important to get everything right, rather than rush things,” added Michael Pritchard. "We are confident that Pecorama now has something for all the family.”
