Laithwaite’s wine tasting event at Rougemont Hotel

Laithwaite’s Wine is holding a wine tasting event at the Rougemont Hotel in Exeter on March 25.

The event will give ticket holders the chance to taste over 30 wines and talk to many wine professionals.

Those attending the event will receive their own tasting glass on arrival to keep, which they can use throughout the session.

Representatives from wineries across the world will make an appearance at the event including those from Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

An opportunity will also be given to guests to take a virtual reality tour of Laithwaite’s winery, Le Chai au Quai in Bordeaux, to learn more about the wine making process.

Guests will enjoy live music from a jazz band and exclusive offers and discounts if they wish to purchase any wines they’ve tried.

The event’s exclusive offers include free delivery if people place an order, discounts on wine plus free gifts when ordering a specific number of bottles.

The event will come to an end with a prize draw and the announcement of the guest’s favourite wine, which can be voted for during the event.

The company welcomes anyone who has an interest in wine, whether they are a usual attendee of the tasting events or not.

“We usually find that our existing customers purchase tickets as gifts for friends and family which is a lovely way of introducing them to the Laithwaite’s experience as well as a great treat,” said Lauren Swanborough, the events manager.

Two sessions will be held on the day, one between 1:30pm and 3:30pm and the other between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
