Making chocolate magic in Exeter

Wander down the cobbles of Gandy Street and up the creaky, narrow stairs of Choccie Bar and you'll find whirring machines, bubbling chocolate and the esoteric practice of chocolate magic in the making.

In just two weeks, the eagerly anticipated Chocolate Alchemy evenings begin at the Choccie Bar studios. Come and make choccie magic, make and decorate your own truffles, learn some chocolate secrets and sweet-making tips with us.

Evenings begin at 7.30 and for a few hours you'll enter into a little slice of Choccie heaven as you sample, create, learn and laugh.

"While we tend to do a lot of corporate and hen party-style events, too many people have been asking to simply come along either alone or with a friend", says Katie Jones, Choccie Bar Owner.

"We think this caters for everyone. The idea, is either to do the basic truffle making or, if our attendees want a more in-depth experience, they can come over a series of weeks and work in the studio on their own specific project. - It's great for gifts and unusual nights out", she adds.

The first Chocolate Alchemy evening is on Thursday 15 October.
