M&S Exeter celebrates Coeliac Awareness Week
The team at M&S Exeter is celebrating Coeliac Awareness Week by hosting a ‘Talk and Taste’ event in the store’s Café. The talk will start at 6:30pm on Wednesday 10th May, and all are invited to join.
Not only will attendees get the chance to taste the delicious gluten free range available at M&S, they’ll also be able to chat to members of the East Devon and Exeter branch of Coeliac UK, and other people in the community about how they manage the disease on a daily basis.
The M&S Made Without Wheat range has over 70 different products including sandwiches, pasta, breads, biscuits and cakes. Newly introduced are four new meals, including Sweet & Sour Chicken and Spice Prawn Spaghetti, which provide a quick and easy option for those unable to eat wheat.
Simon Newman, store manager of M&S Exeter commented: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the local community in-store to find out more about the fantastic products available across the M&S Made Without Wheat range.”
Information about gluten free options has become one of the top customer enquiries at M&S. Helen Seward, M&S Nutritionist, added: We know that a number of our shoppers are looking to avoid or reduce the amount of the gluten in their diet and we have our biggest range yet for them to choose from. Our customers are able to bake at home with the family, pick up lunch on the go, create a delicious mid-week meals and choose readymade options with our Made Without range, making it even easier for them to follow a gluten free lifestyle.”
