Exeter Craft Festival returns in 2022
There is good news for all the creative people based in the southwest – applications for stands at the Exeter Craft Festival on Cathedral Green are open!
This three-day Festival, which showcases original work by craftspeople and artists living and working in the four southwestern counties, has been taking place every summer for more than forty years, and for all of that time has been run by a small committee of volunteers.
Speaking on behalf of the members of the committee, its Chair, Madeleine Millington, explained how devastated they were when the event had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic. Now, however, she is delighted to announce that it will be happening in 2022, from 7-9 July.
She went on, ‘While many of the makers who would have been at the 2021 show if it hadn’t had to be cancelled have notified us that they will be attending in 2022, we still have some vacancies, so talented makers of high quality work who would like to exhibit at this great event should visit our website (www.exetercraftfestival.co.uk), download the application information and apply online. The closing date for new applications is 17th December, and applicants will be notified of the result after our selection meeting in January 2022.’
