Devon couple are first winners in national prize draw

The first winners of a national monthly promotion being run by Scandinavian furniture brand, Ekornes Stressless, were an Exeter couple that were entered into the prize draw by Potburys of Sidmouth.

Each month Ekornes selects one lucky customer at random to win their choice of Stressless recliner and footstool.

The winners of the first monthly draw, Mr and Mrs Szpek, went to Potburys in April to find a nursing chair for their imminent first child. Mrs Szpeks’ father has had a Stressless chair for several years so Mrs Szpek thought a Stressless chair would make an ideal nursing chair.

Having tested the range in the Potburys’ Stressless studio the Szpeks settled on the Eagle model and were delighted to discover a few weeks later that they were the lucky winners of the monthly promotion!

Mrs Szpek said: “With all the expenses of a new baby on the way you can imagine how pleased we were to receive the news from Ekornes that we had actually won our choice of the Eagle chair and stool.”

The couple went back to Potburys on Saturday 21 September, with 7-week old Sofie, to collect their chair and footstool from Potburys’ Managing Director, Michael Lee.
