Embroidery classes at Exeter Community Centre

Each month “Stitching with Liz and Helen” offers a day class in embroidery.  

Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary.

Classes are on either Saturdays or Sundays.  In September there will be the chance to stitch a sunflower brooch.  

October will be a goldwork spider to celebrate Hallowe’en.  In November we will  take time out from stitching to look at how to plan an embroidery project.  

We will end the year with an “Embroidery Potpourri”: stitch a simple brooch, or a badge, or a bauble for the tree.

Tuition costs £70 for the day (5.5 hours teaching) and there is an additional charge for materials which varies from course to course.  

We provide tea and coffee.  

Classes are at Exeter Community Centre, St David’s Hill EX4 3RG and run between 10.30am and 4pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.

The tutors are Liz Tapper and Helen Jones who both trained as embroiderers at the Royal School of Needlework.
