This ain't no Friday night panic!
The Recycled Candle Company is opening its doors to chaps who need inspiration, advice and beer when deciding what gifts to buy for their loved ones.
Friday 20th December is the date for last minute male shoppers who need guidance with their Christmas gift selection this year.
Richard Hills-Ingyon and Sargon Latchin of The Recycled Candle Company are keeping the Gandy Street shop open until late to give suggestions for guilt-free gifts that don’t cost the earth.
Richard explained: “We are on a mission to prevent those last-minute purchases at the local garage which contrary to rumour, do still happen!
“Instead, we’re offering chaps the chance to check out our beautiful recycled candles, hear about our mission to help save the planet one candle at a time, and enjoy some much-needed refreshments on the house.”
Richard and Sargon will be handing out sustenance in the form of Rusty Pig’s cheeky Piggyback Ale. “We’ve known Rusty Pig since we opened our first shop in Ottery St Mary and we’re delighted to be bringing their ale to Exeter shoppers.”
As well as candles, the shop sells a selection of items from artisan makers with the same ethos as The Recycled Candle Company, including clocks, kimonos, ‘reincarnated’ shoes and Lumilight solar powered wooden light kits, so there’s plenty of ethical gifts to choose from.
Sargon added: “We’re also providing a complimentary gift-wrapping service to really wow the recipient at Christmas. Think Rowan Atkinson in Love, Actually.”
The shop will be open from 5 to 9pm. “We hope to make a lot of men happy in that time!” said Richard.
