Ashfords solicitors help pupils travel to Devon County Show
Dozens of youngsters have been enjoying the sights and sounds of Devon County Show thanks to Exeter law firm, Ashfords LLP.
Ashfords is providing transport to ferry pupils from their schools to Westpoint Arena during the three-day event.
The Exeter schools being assisted with their travel plans are Wynstream in Burnthouse Lane, Exwick Heights in Exwick Lane and Barley Lane in Barley Lane.
Ashfords Partner, Elizabeth Gibson, said: ”We have been keen supporters of the show over many years but decided we wanted to do something different this time around.
“We are delighted to be helping the next generation learn about the important role agriculture and sustainability plays in their lives.”
Show Secretary, Ollie Allen, thanked Ashfords for their “terrific” support.
She added: “We would like to thank Ashfords for their help in getting school children to their county show.
“It is really terrific to link the business community with education in this way and offer youngsters the opportunity to come to the show at a time when some schools may not have been able to do so without sponsorship.”
Executive headteacher of Wynstream School, Tracy Hannon, said: “I’d like to thank Ashfords for their generous donation towards the cost of transport. It is a great help to us.”
For those planning to visit the show as a family, up to three children (aged 5 to 15) are eligible for free admission on Saturday when accompanied by a paying adult.
