A rush of Christmas generosity has seen more than 250 shoeboxes stuffed full of gifts for people in poverty-stricken Moldova delivered to Cartridges Solicitors in Cowick Street, Exeter after the firm volunteered to collect them on behalf of the CR2EE charity.

Kathy Hulland at Cartridges said: "None of us can cure all the ills in the world, but there is one small corner who will be celebrating an extra special Christmas this year thanks to the amazing generosity of the people in Exeter with a very big heart!"

It's the second year that Cartridges Solicitors offered up their offices as a drop off point for the CR2EE Shoebox appeal and the success has been outstanding.

“We have been overwhelmed by the response this year," said Kathy "Last year was good but this year has been even better with over 250 shoeboxes being dropped in to the offices. We had to request two early pick-ups simply because we were running out of room to store them all and within a few hours of the pick-up the office was overflowing again! It has been fantastic and all of us who work here want to say a really big thank you to everyone who took time out to give a gift to someone less fortunate at such a special time of year. It has been great to be able to support CR2EE's work with people and families in Moldova, the poorest country in Europe."
