The county plays a waiting game with the weather
The county is seeing a welcome respite in the recent chronic weather conditions today, but with water levels so high and rain on the way, this looks to be just a momentary pause in Devon's flooding nightmares.
Sunday morning will see the best opportunity for sunshine, with winds easing, but further spells of heavy rain and strong winds are expected later on Sunday through Monday, with a risk of further disruption.
Today we are seeing a dry and bright start to the day with sunny spells through the day with light winds, although it is generally cooler. There may also be a few showers around the coast.
Tonight will also be largely dry at first, but it will cloud over from the South. Tomorrow however we are set to encounter another band of rain and strong winds spreading north across the region, giving a renewed risk of flooding. Gales are also possible in exposed spots. Rain turning heavy at times, particularly later in the day.
