Exeter care home celebrates Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with party
Barchester’s Cumberland Grange Care Home in Exeter celebrated Her Majesty The Queens Platinum Jubilee with a wonderful party for family, friends and prospective residents.
What better time to celebrate togetherness than during Her Majesty The Queens Platinum Jubilee? Cumberland Grange welcomed their resident’s family and friends to join them for an afternoon of celebrations. Chefs John and Simon laid on a big spread of delicious foods, including the iconic strawberries and cream pudding! The professional singers got everyone singing along and up dancing to some well-known songs.
Cumberland Grange’s Home Services Advisor Mica said: ‘Wow, what a wonderful afternoon, after what has been such a difficult time for many since the start of the pandemic back in 2019, for many of our residents, this was the first big event since then. Everyone was smiling and laughing the whole time, with the look of love on their faces as we all celebrated being together and having a good time. We decorated the home with banners, balloons and confetti which our residents loved.’
Brian, Resident at Cumberland Grange said: ‘I had such a wonderful day with some of my family who came to join.’
