Exeter Police seek witnesses after fatal collision

Update: The man has been formally identified as David Michael Howard Hill, aged 64 years, of Harbertonford near Totnes. 

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision on Monday evening. At about 18.10 hrs on Monday (14th January 2013) a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision occurred on the A379 at Peamore on the outskirts of Exeter, Devon.

A car travelling from the direction of Marsh Barton, Exeter towards Kennford left the carriageway to the offside entering the central reservation.

The vehicle then collided with a tree in the grassed central reserve, causing the it to come to rest on its offside.

Police are in the process of confirming the man’s identity and informing his family.
