Successful launch for Valleyside Barn as hundreds flock to Food & Drinks Fair

New weddings and events venue, Valleyside Barn, based in Bickleigh have officially launched with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a local Food & Drinks Fair attended by around 300 people.

Emma Wright, Partner of Valleyside Barn & Escapes said, “The launch was a huge success and we’ve been overwhelmed by the fantastic feedback on the barn from attendees. It is a very special place and perfect for weddings, celebrations and business gatherings and we can’t wait to host more events in the future.”

Sixteen local Devon producers supported the launch including Blakewell smoked fish, Dartmoor Coffee, Deck Chair Gin, Exe Valley Brewery, Exe Valley Farm shop, Grape & Grain Wine Merchants, Hanlons Brewery, Hat-a-Cakes, Icicle Tricycle, West Country Dim Sum, Papillon Gin, Powderkeg Beer, Rull Orchard cider, Sabine’s Macarons, The Pizza Box and Utopian Brewing.

The transformation of the old timber outbuilding to a rustic, substantial barn has taken around two years. Matt Wright, Partner of Valleyside Barn & Escapes said, “It has been a labour of love but the transformation is incredible. It was great to see the barn in use and so many people enjoying the event in the sunshine.”

There are already weddings booked for 2022 and, whilst it is envisaged the barn will mainly be used for this purpose, the space lends itself to a host of other uses including corporate events and even as a filming location along with the wider outbuilding complex.
