Taylor Wimpey aims to work with Exeter community to support vulnerable people during coronavirus crisis

Taylor Wimpey is appealing to the Exeter community to put forward local groups, charities and good causes that may need extra support in their work to help vulnerable people during the coronavirus crisis.

The health and safety of customers and employees is Taylor Wimpey’s number one priority. Staff are following Government guidance, closing sales offices and halting work on site in order to assist in containing the spread of COVID-19.

The local teams remain committed to supporting the communities in which they work during this difficult time. In order to best direct their support, the Exeter team has asked city residents to suggest local groups or charities that are working with vulnerable people and could urgently do with a helping hand.

Melissa Langton, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “The spread of coronavirus has highlighted the importance of communities and has shown that we need to band together for the greater good in these unprecedented times. In light of this, we would like to invite residents from in and around Exeter to let us know how we can best help vulnerable people and the groups working hard to support them.

“We do have a limited community budget available and we want to work with the Exeter community to make sure that our donations reach the people who need them most.”

People can submit their suggestions by emailing the name of the nominee, along with a brief description of why they have been nominated, to Caroline.Wengradt@taylorwimpey.com. Groups will be contacted directly with offers of support.
