Therapy Works supports Devon Air Ambulance Trust Staff
Hard working Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) staff got a treat recently from local company Therapy Works South West, who came in to demonstrate their seated acupressure massage in the work place scheme.
Each member of staff was treated to 30 minutes of treatment which combines warming and loosening strokes (to back, neck and arms) with pressure point work (to back, forearms and hands). They personalise each treatment & apply advanced massage techniques to assist clients with their specific issues.
Sarah Collier of Therapy Works South West said “DAAT provide an invaluable service to the community and we thought their staff could probably do with some attention themselves.”
She added “Like many offices, staff unavoidably spend long periods of time staring at a computer screen. The down side to this is that this often leads to muscular aches and pains, headaches and eyestrain. Our treatments are effective & relaxing but what’s great is that clients leave feeling energised. Another advantage of our service is that we come to the company, meaning no wasted time in travelling, which may put off those who need our treatment taking the time out. We find that staff value the practical self-care advice that we include & this is often a real eye-opener!”
Heléna Holt said “We would like to thank Sarah and Sharon from Therapy Works South West for donating their time to our staff. It really was a talking point for days afterwards, as staff told us that the treatment and advice given by them was and continues to be extremely beneficial.”
