Two Devon men found dead in Amsterdam hotel
Two Devon men have died in Amsterdam after after snorting what is believed to have been white heroin that was sold to them as cocaine.
The victims who were 20 and 21 years old were found in a hotel room on Tuesday.
The Foreign Office is liaising with Dutch authorities and is 'providing consular assistance to the family', a spokesman said.
Police spokesman Rob van der Veen said the bodies of the two men, both from England, were found next to traces of a white powder.
Amsterdam police had launched an awareness campaign aimed at visitors from Britain, including English-language matrix-style signs.
A post mortem will take place in order to determine the cause of death.
