Students with a valid student card have the opportunity to come racing at Exeter for free on Wednesday, November 9.

The annual student-free-entry day includes a  behind-the scenes-tour that starts an hour before the first race and gives an insight into a day at the races.

General manager Daniel Thompson said: “It’s a fun day with a good quality card in prospect and we hope students take up the opportunity.”

In 2014 Unowhatimeanharry finished second in the handicap hurdle and since that outing he has won more than £100k in prize money and was the winner of the 2016 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Ptit Zig, winner of a £100k hurdle at Auteuil this year, is also among many good past winners at the equivalent meeting.

The first off seven races is under orders at 1pm and 188Bet and RGB Building Supplies sponsoring the card.

A free bus service from Exeter St David (11.20am) and Exeter Bus and Coach Station (11.35am) returning 30 minutes after the last race.
