New Head Golf Professional joins Exeter Golf and Country Club team
Exeter Golf and Country Club has announced that Darren Everett has been appointed as the new Head Golf Professional at the club. Darren will be starting his new role from mid May, and brings with him a team of three experienced golf professionals.
Currently Head Golf Pro and Golf Director at Teign Valley, Darren has twenty years as a PGA golf professional under his belt, coaching, marketing and retail awards and his ongoing position as Vice Chairman of the Devon PGA..
Darren’s team includes: James Maxwell, PGA Qualified Professional, former Wales Amateur International and winner of five regional Pro-ams; Chris Honeywill, PGA Trainee Professional, former Devon County Amateur and a fitness for golf enthusiast; and, Darren’s wife, Leah Everett, a former England Ladies Golf Eagles Squad Member.
Darren promises a strong focus on improving the golf experience for both club members and visiting golfers. In line with England Golf and England Sport directives, Darren is dedicated to the promotion of ladies and junior golf and developing new golfers through the Get Into Golf scheme.
Having won a number of retailing awards, the new Pro Shop will be both current and competitive, providing golf products of the highest standards to create a one-stop shop for the club's members and visitors.
2016 is a momentous year for Exeter Golf and Country Club with the launch of the new redesigned golf course and its 121st anniversary as a golf club. The Summer Festival Week to celebrate will take place from 18th July.
