Firearms incident in Newton Abbot

At approximately 7pm on Friday 13th December 2013, officers attended St Marys Court, Newton Abbot following reports of “threats to kill”.

Following a planned operation utilising armed officers, a dog handler and Police negotiators, a local male in his 60’s was arrested.

The man was bailed yesterday as police conduct further enquiries

This is being described as a domestic incident.

There have been no injuries reported.
