It has now become very easy to get our images on to our PC, laptop or ipad, but often we fail to get the best out of them. If you would like to learn how to improve your images and make them really stand out then a two hour one-to-one session is one of the best ways to quickly gain the skills and knowledge to do this.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The sessions will cover basic concepts such as image file formats, image sizes and proportions, pixels, dpi and bit depth. We will then go on to look at simple editing: changing saturation, brightness, contrast, constraining contrast, image resizing and image sharpening and blurring. Once these are mastered we will start exploring the use of tools such as the cloning tool, lasso, spot healing and masks to alter specific parts of an image. We will also look at the use of layers to selectively build up an image from one, or multiple originals. Throughout there will be plenty of opportunity to practise these skills as we learn them, working either with your own or with provided images.
WHY ONE-TO-ONE?
Everyone has different skills levels and understanding of IT and photographic principles. By making this one to one each session is geared precisely to your own existing knowledge and set at a learning pace that suits you. It also means that the entire lesson can be covered in one session, at a time that fits in with you.
WHY TWO HOURS
Two hours is about the maximum time most people can concentrate to take in new information. After that is when you then need to practice the new skills you have learned.
