The NFU and popular children’s series Tractor Ted have joined forces to launch a brand new competition with a prize worth over £1000.

The competition encourages 4-7 year olds to think about where their food comes from by playing a matching up game.

The prize of a visit from Tractor Ted’s Little Farm Live will give one youngster the chance to experience a farm, with real live animals, in their back garden, local park or school playground for the day. The winner and their friends will also have the chance to play on Tractor Ted’s unique giant bouncy tractor and slide.

NFU Vice President Guy Smith said:

“It’s vital that the next generation understand about British farming and where their food comes from. We’re delighted to work with the Tractor Ted team to deliver this competition. It’s a fantastic opportunity to reach out to thousands of youngsters in a fun and engaging way.”

To enter the competition, which is open until 31 August 2014, visit www.letstalkfarming.co.uk and download an entry form. Competition leaflets will also be available from the NFU’s Let’s Talk Farming Roadshow and at Tractor Ted Live Event locations as listed at www.tractorted.co.uk
