Exeter's Skin Angels ride to the rescue
Skin Angels, a group of campaigning beauty therapists from Exeter’s Purity Boutique Spa, were out in force to ensure visitors who came to the city to watch the Tour of Britain were fully armed with sun protection.
The team talked to the public about the importance of wearing sun cream all year round and handed out samples as well as special bracelets, that change colour when skin damaging UVA rays are present.
Ellie from Skin Angels said: “It was fantastic to be part of such a big event in Exeter. We are so passionate about ensuring people protect themselves from sun damage all year round and we really enjoyed talking to the public, many who are cycling fans and therefore spend a lot of time outdoors, about how to look after their skin.”
Skin Angels will also be out and about throughout 2014 visiting schools, colleges and other events across Devon.
The UK charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, is backing the team in their efforts.
