Flooding between Taunton and Exeter St Davids and a signalling problem near Plymouth is causing disruption in the south west of England.

First Great Western advise passengers not to attempt travel.

The following changes will apply until further notice:

Plymouth - Exeter - Tiverton / Taunton - No trains will run between Plymouth and Tiverton Parkway / Taunton

A limited bus service will run between Plymouth and Tiverton Parkway / Taunton but this is expected to be very busy.

Network Rail is using a water-filled tube to act as a damn to protect the main railway line between London Paddington and Penzance from flooding.

A limited CrossCountry service is also running between Penzance and Plymouth. Passengers are advised to use First Great Western trains.

Journey times may be extended by up to 3 hour.

First Great Western and CrossCountry are accepting each others' passengers.
