Donkey Sanctuary launches annual car show
The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth is looking for proud owners to show off their cherished motors at its first ever annual Car Show this July.
There will be competitions for modern and vintage cars with categories including ‘Show and Shine’ and ‘Best in Show’.
Fabulous prizes include top ‘detailing’ kits kindly sponsored by Servo Engineering, Exeter.
Visitors can enter a free raffle to win a pressure washer and a range of cleaning products.
As well as admiring beautiful motors the show offers the chance to meet hundreds of rescued donkeys and mules on site including five beautiful donkeys and mules for Adoption.
Event Organiser Chris Phillips said: “We are really excited about hosting our first ever Car Show here at the Sanctuary in Sidmouth. We can’t wait to have the place purring with beautiful motors! We also hope that car aficionados will make the most of being on site by enjoying our gentle walks and sea views, by finding secret spots, exploring our maze and nature centre and by meeting scores of donkeys, making friends and choosing a favourite.”
The show runs on Sunday 5 July from 10am to 2pm.
Entry is £2 per car for exhibitors. Visitor entry to the car show is £2 per person & £1 for under 16s. Under 6s go free.
Visits to The Donkey Sanctuary offer the chance to explore the nature centre and maze, to buy unique gifts in our shop or enjoy delicious locally-sourced food in our restaurant.
Admission to The Donkey Sanctuary itself is free.
Proceeds raised from events held throughout the year go towards The Donkey Sanctuary’s work worldwide.
