Construction consultants donate £1,000 to Combe Pafford School
Construction Consultants Haldons Ltd. present a cheque of £1000 to Combe Pafford in Torquay, a school which caters for pupils with learning and physical difficulties.
Haldons Ltd multi-disciplinary consultancy donated the funds to sponsor a child to take part in the school's annual residential trip.
Unlike your average excursion, the children visit either Beijing, China or Costa Rica. Over the years Combe Pafford has developed links with vocational schools in China, where the pupils join in on practical lessons like hairdressing, catering. They also have a strong relationship with an animal sanctuary on the edge of a rain forest in Costa Rica where pupils can live and work in the local community to help the injured animals.
So after a change in funding, Haldons happily stepped in to offer their support to Combe Pafford School in continuing to offer this amazing opportunity to its pupils. Mark Coton, Director at Haldons Ltd. adds, " Haldons are a family owned chartered surveying practice with its head office in Torquay, and as a local firm we are delighted to be able to provide support to this fantastic school."
