Prince Charles' charity supports job fair in Exeter

One of Prince Charles's charities is supporting the first ever job fair to be held in Beacon Heath, Exeter, tomorrow Tuesday 14 March.

Normally job fairs are held in the city centre but in a bid to help local people the Spring Job Fair is being hosted by The Beacon Community Centre from 10am-1pm.

Business in the Community, the Prince's responsible business network is organising the event alongside JobCentre Plus.

Ashley Perryman, Exeter Business Connector for Business in the Community, said: “The Spring Job Fair at The Beacon shows the sectors – commercial, public and community – working together to tackle issues, in this case employment and skills opportunities for the Beacon Heath area.

“I am passionate about bringing events like this to the wider community and the Job Fair is an example of putting an excellent local community centre at the heart of opportunities for the people it serves. It really is all about working together and for each other!”

Sarah Swain, JobCentre Plus employer advisor, said: “We are pleased to be able to support local people by holding a job fair at the heart of the community. It’s also a good opportunity to support community centres like The Beacon.”
