The Dream of Gerontius

Mighty Force Awakens

Mighty Force has awakened after 20 years. Exeter’s first dance music store was also a promoter and an influential record label that helped launch the careers of Aphex Twin, Tom Middleton and Matthew Herbert. Charity Garden Opening
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Sutton Mead and Mardon, Moretonhampstead
The colours of the apple blossom, wisteria, rhododendrons and azaleas have never looked better. Both of these four acre gardens will be open in aid of The National Garden Scheme between 2pm and 6pm. There will be a sale of plants raised in the gardens and home-made teas. Parking is available at both gardens and for anyone wishing to combine their visit with a walk on the moor, dogs on leads are welcome. Moretonhampstead willow artist Katherine Miles will be exhibiting some of her work.

Fore Street Flea Market
Sunday, noon, Fore Street, Exeter
The perfect opportunity to spend the day soaking up the unique creative culture in this wonderful part of Exeter, at the only flea market of it’s kind in Devon. The day market will be open from noon-4pm, and many of the shops on Fore Street will also be opening their doors for Sunday trading. The first of four planned markets for 2017.
EXHIBITIONS
Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful
RAMM, Queen Street Exeter
Catch a glimpse of the magic and mystery of the world under the sea. Dive in, and delight in the wonders of aquatic life. Through a playful mix of historic objects, film, illustrations, live creatures and contemporary craft, the exhibition combines science and art to inspire a greater appreciation of Devon’s glorious coastline for visitors of all ages. The exhibition runs until 17 September, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.
Pools of Colour Exhibition
The Glorious Art House, 120 Fore Street, Exeter
An installation by multi-media artist Lucy Patrick. An invitation to explore the ponds, pools and puddles in and around Exeter. Look at your city with renewed interest. The installation runs until 25 May, located in the gallery at the top of the Glorious Art Café and is free.
