Topsham celebrates biggest Christmas shopping night to date
On Tuesday 4th December, the Topsham Christmas Shopping Night comes to the town with a spectrum of independent shops including an evening market, festive entertainment, special offers, promotions and in-store activity.
Free to attend, shoppers can warm up with a host of hot dishes and drinks, enjoy an array of live festive music and Christmas goodies and gifts to buy, all in a special ambience on the Christmas lit High Street and Fore Street, leading down to Topsham Quay.
A new volunteer group, Love Topsham, formed from residents and traders in the town to help keep the beautiful town of Topsham vibrant and attractive has raised a staggering £14,000 in five weeks to support the town’s trade during the Festive season.
Love Topsham, with the help of the whole community – residents, shops, businesses, town charities and community groups, is making sure that the Christmas lights and shopping evening will be a big step up from last year.
The whole community became involved in the Christmas lights appeal with fundraising across town including collection jars and a Just Giving appeal. The campaign has also been supported by Exeter City and Devon councils.
The Topsham Christmas Lights will also be switched on on Friday 30th November with events in the town from 5pm onwards in Fore Street and leading down to the Quay including Santa’s Grotto, carols, live music, seasonal street food, and mulled wine.
