£2k raised for charity in eye-catching McDonald's Exeter refurbishment
McDonald’s Marsh Barton officially reopened on 3 February following an extensive refurbishment.
The new restaurant boasts all the latest innovations from McDonald’s, including a side-by-side drive thru and improved kitchen facilities.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Trish Oliver and the local franchisee and owner, David Shawyer.
David generously donated £1 for every transaction made on opening day to the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Trish Oliver’s charity ‘Inclusive Exeter’.
The charity works with grassroots groups, to run a range of projects for the benefit of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities in the surrounding area.
In total £2,000 was raised and a spokesperson for the charity attended the event.
