Expansion for The Outdoors Group marketing team
The marketing department at The Outdoors Group has grown its capacity with the appointment of two new team members.
Based at the group's Crediton HQ, Matt Ranger has joined to run digital marketing whilst Karolina Rowgoska is providing support as the new marketing assistant.
Starting out as an apprentice, Matt worked as a digital marketer for four years before taking time out to work at the gym in Exeter Uni and hone his surfing skills. When he decided to return to marketing, he was keen to find something fulfilling. He joined The Outdoors Group as a business that is not driven by commercial success but instead focuses on helping young learners.
He says “I like the ethos of the business. They really look after their employees, and have a good, positive message.”
Day to day Matt looks after digital marketing tasks including PPC, email marketing and website updates.
Karolina is originally from Poland and moved to the UK in 2012. She studied for a degree in fashion communications at Middlesex University and relocated to Exeter just prior to lockdown. She says she fell in love with the area and decided to stay.
She leans naturally towards environmental and ethical employers; her first role locally was with My Little Eco Shop. Karolina was delighted to be offered the job as marketing assistant at The Outdoors Group. “It’s perfect for me, I like helping people and I want to make a positive impact on the world.”
Karolina’s fashion communications degree is proving handy as she is currently working on the new merchandise offer which is launching in September.
Both roles underpin the important work of The Outdoors Group which offers children and young people a chance to both play and learn in an outdoor environment through its forest schools and special schools in Devon.
